Our commitment

ScriptorCo handles personal information with care and in a way that is consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Your details: name, firm, email address, phone number and the details of your enquiry.
Client information: information about your clients and their matters that you provide so we can prepare documents, which may include sensitive information.
Newsletter: your email address, if you ask to subscribe.

How we collect it

We collect information when you email us, message us on WhatsApp, send an enquiry from this website, complete our onboarding form or send instructions. The enquiry and newsletter forms on this website open your own email app; the website itself does not store what you type.

How we use it

To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and deliver the services you request.
To manage our business records, invoicing and legal obligations.
To send our newsletter, only if you have asked for it. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use client information for any purpose beyond the engagement it was provided for.

Who we share it with

We do not share personal information with external parties, except with service providers who help us operate (for example email and secure file storage providers) under confidentiality obligations, or where the law requires or authorises it. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia; we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing Info@scriptorco.com. Requests about a client's information should come through the instructing professional.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
